Overview
Every job on Soledin follows the same lifecycle: a client posts a role with a SOL budget, builders apply with a bid and a cover note, the client accepts one applicant, and the work is settled directly wallet-to-wallet when it is delivered. Soledin never custodies funds. The only value the protocol takes is a 0.5% fee attached to the settlement transaction.

Accounts & identity
You can create an account two ways, and both end up at the same profile.
- 01Email and password. Standard sign-up. You can link a Solana wallet afterwards from settings.
- 02Wallet sign-in. Connect Phantom, Trust, MetaMask, Solflare or Jupiter, sign a one-time off-chain challenge (no gas, no approval to spend), and the backend verifies that ed25519 signature before issuing your session. The wallet is then bound to your profile as the payout address.
A signature request from Soledin is never a transaction. If a wallet ever asks you to approve a transfer during sign-in, reject it.
Building a profile
Your profile is the thing clients read before they send SOL, so treat it like a portfolio rather than a CV. From settings you can set:
- 01Username, display name and a headline (for example: Anchor engineer · DeFi protocols).
- 02An About section for context on what you build and who you build it for.
- 03Skills as tags - these drive search and matching on the job board.
- 04Links: X (Twitter), GitHub, website, Telegram, Discord and LinkedIn.
- 05Availability and an hourly rate in SOL so clients can self-qualify before they message you.
- 06Experience entries - role, company or protocol, period and what you shipped.
- 07Education and credentials, including audits, bootcamps and hackathon wins.
Public profiles live at /profile/your-username and show your linked wallet, roles you have posted and your recent activity.
Posting a role
Clients post from the job board. A role needs a title, a description, a category, a skills list, a SOL budget and a location or remote flag. Roles appear on the live board the moment they are created - the board streams inserts and updates in real time, so there is no refresh delay for applicants.
- 01Set a realistic SOL budget. Budgets are shown in the board totals and filter results.
- 02Be specific about deliverables and the definition of done - it is what a dispute is judged against.
- 03Roles move through open, assigned, completed and cancelled. Only you can change your own role's status.
Applying & hiring
Builders apply with a bid in SOL and a short cover note. Applications appear on the client's dashboard in real time. When the client accepts an application, the role flips to assigned and every other applicant is notified by status change.
- 01One application per builder per role. Update your bid by withdrawing and re-applying.
- 02The accepted bid, not the original budget, is what gets settled.
- 03Both sides track their side of the deal in the dashboard: roles requested, roles hired for and payments.
Payments & settlement
Every builder chooses how they want to be paid in settings: SOL, USDC or X Money. When a client settles a role, the pay box on the job page shows that builder's chosen method, and the 0.5% protocol fee applies the same way regardless of which one is used.
- 01SOL. A single Solana transaction built in your browser and signed by your wallet. It contains two transfers: the net amount to the builder's payout wallet and the protocol fee to the Soledin treasury. Because both legs are in one transaction, the fee cannot be skipped and the builder cannot be shorted.
- 02USDC. The same on-chain flow, settled in USDC on Solana mainnet instead of SOL.
- 03X Money. The client pays Soledin on-chain, and Soledin handles the X Money transfer to the builder for their 99.5% share. Payouts are tracked on the payouts page and marked sent with a reference once completed.
- 01Client clicks settle on the assigned role and approves the transaction in their wallet.
- 02Solana confirms; the signature is written to the payments record with amount, fee and status.
- 03The role is marked completed and both dashboards update immediately.
- 04Every payment links out to a block explorer so either party can verify it independently.
Soledin holds no balances for SOL or USDC settlements and cannot move your funds. If your wallet is disconnected, nothing can be settled from your account.
Protocol fee
The protocol charges 0.5% (50 basis points) of the settled amount. There are no listing fees, no subscription, no withdrawal fee and no percentage taken from applications that are never hired.
Worked example
Agreed budget · 100.0000 SOL
Protocol fee (0.5%) · 0.50 SOL
Builder receives · 99.50 SOL
Treasury: 9wJ1Kw…EkyECw
$SOLEDIN revenue share
Fees collected by the treasury are the revenue of the network, and $SOLEDIN holders receive a share of them. Because every fee arrives on-chain at a public treasury address, the revenue base is auditable by anyone at any time - there is no reported figure to trust.
- 01Fees accumulate in the treasury wallet as jobs settle, whether the job was paid in SOL, USDC or X Money.
- 02Distributions are made to holders pro rata against the distribution snapshot.
- 03Holding is the only requirement - there is no lock, stake or claim gate to use the job board.
Live treasury figures and the distribution addresses are on the $SOLEDIN page.
Job categories
Roles are filed under one category, which powers filtering on the board. Current categories cover engineering, creative and go-to-market work:
Reputation
Reputation on Soledin is derived from settled work rather than self-reported claims. Completed roles, the SOL volume attached to them and the counterparties involved are all visible from a profile, and each payment is verifiable on-chain. A new account with a linked wallet and a thin history is normal; a profile claiming a long track record with no settled work is the thing to question.
Disputes & refunds
Because settlement is a direct wallet-to-wallet transfer, a confirmed Solana transaction cannot be reversed by Soledin or by anyone else. That makes the sequencing before settlement the important part.
- 01Write deliverables into the role description before you hire, not after.
- 02For larger scopes, split the role into milestones and settle each one as it lands.
- 03Keep the conversation on-platform so the record travels with the job.
- 04If a delivery is disputed, the role can be left assigned while the parties resolve it, or cancelled by the poster if no work has been settled.
Security
- 01Soledin never asks for a seed phrase or private key. Nobody legitimate ever will.
- 02Sign-in uses a one-time, off-chain challenge message - it moves no funds.
- 03Only approve a transaction when you are deliberately settling a job, and read the amounts in your wallet before signing.
- 04Row level security is enforced on every table: you can only write your own profile, your own roles and your own applications.
- 05Verify a counterparty's payout wallet on a block explorer before large settlements.
FAQ
Do I need a wallet to browse jobs?
You need an account to browse the board. You can sign up with email, but a linked Solana wallet is required to settle or receive payments.
What currency are jobs paid in?
SOL or USDC, transferred directly between wallets on Solana mainnet - or X Money, where Soledin handles the transfer to the builder. Each builder picks their preferred method in settings.
Does Soledin hold my funds in escrow?
No. The protocol is non-custodial; the settlement transaction moves funds straight from the client's wallet to the builder's.
Is there any fee to post a role or apply?
No. The only fee is 0.5% taken at settlement, and it is only charged when work is actually paid for.
Can I change my payout wallet?
Yes. Connect a different wallet from settings; future settlements use the wallet linked at the time of payment.
How do I get the revenue share?
Hold $SOLEDIN. Distributions are made pro rata from fees collected by the treasury.
